Questions boards ask

How is a special levy divided in Alberta?

Usually by unit factors: your unit factors divided by the total for all units, times the levy. Your bylaws can set another way to share some costs, so check them first. If they do, this calculator can't give your share.

Who approves a special levy?

This calculator doesn't cover approval. The Government of Alberta's special levies page explains the process, and your bylaws may add rules. Read both, or ask a condo lawyer, before the levy goes ahead.

Where do I find my unit factors?

On your condominium plan. Your board or management company can give you your unit's figure and the total for the building.
